Uber Technologies (NYSE:UBER) announced that it is bringing its yacht service to Ibiza and will introduce different water-transport offerings to other European cities.
The Uber Yacht service will be available to pre-book on the Spanish island of Ibiza on July 26 for trips starting in August. Uber Boat in Greece will expand from Mykonos, where it was launched last year, to Athens, Corfu and Santorini and will let visitors travel to beach clubs and reach remote locales. In addition, Uber (UBER) will also launch a limo boat service in Venice, Italy to allow customers to travel around the Venetian Lagoon.
Earlier in the year, Uber (UBER) introduced cruises on the Seine River as it looked to keep up with demand surrounding the Summer Olympics in Paris. The ride hailing company said it has seen strong tourism demand in Europe in general, especially in places such as Greece and Spain.
Shares of Uber (UBER) slipped 0.62% in premarket action on Tuesday, but are still up more than 15% on a year-to-date basis. Wall Street analysts are very bullish on Uber (UBER), with 43 out of 47 ratings at Buy-equivalent.
