Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) Executive Chair Jeff Bezos sold 25M company shares for $4.93B on Tuesday, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The founder and former president and CEO of the tech and commerce colossus made $197.20 per share on the sale.
Bezos also contributed 1.09M shares to non-profit organizations on May 29 and May 30, according to the filing.
Bezos has now earned about $7B from selling Amazon shares year-to-date, after selling 12M shares in February for more than $2B.
He adopted a plan, made public in Amazon’s 2023 annual report, allowing him to sell up to 50M shares before Jan. 31, 2025.
Bezos still retains about 950M shares, or 10% of the company, following these massive sells.
The 60-year-old Bezos was spotted last week on his $500M yacht cruising around the Greek isles with his fiancé Lauren Sanchez and celebrities such as Kim Kardashian.
