Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) said its self-service repair software is now available in 32 European countries, including the U.K., France, Germany, and the Netherlands.
Apple Diagnostics for Self Service Repair — a software tool for users to troubleshoot issues — was launched in the U.S. in December last year. The company had announced in December 2022 that it would bring the self-service repair program to Europe.
Canada is set to get the service next year.
The software gives the users the same ability as Apple authorized service providers to test products for parts functionality and performance, and helps identify if any part needs repair.
Following this expansion, the service now supports iPhone, Mac, and Studio Display models in 33 countries and 24 languages, according to the company.
The U.S. tech giant noted that the service supports 42 Apple products, and now includes MacBook Air models powered by the M3 chip.
On Wednesday, Apple also published a whitepaper on its principles for designing for longevity — to have a balance between product durability and repairability.
