- Banking giant Citigroup (NYSE:C) said on Monday it will cease operations in Haiti, but the international banking and correspondent banking services will continue for existing clients.
- The group is set to surrender its banking license, with the approval of the country’s central bank.
- The company attributed the move to a strategic business review of its client segments and market conditions, along with diminished international activity and lower institutional client demand in Haiti.
