Inflation rate in France dropped to 2.20% in June from 2.30% in May, more than consensus of 2.1%.
This slight drop in inflation is explained by the slowdown over one year in energy prices due to that of petroleum products, as well as by that of food prices. Conversely, prices of services accelerated slightly, while those of manufactured products and tobacco evolved over one year at the same pace as in May.
The Consumer Price Index in France increased 0.10 percent in June over the previous month.
Core inflation increases slightly over one year and stands at +1.8% in June 2024, after +1.7% in May.
