Alphabet’s (NASDAQ:GOOG) (NASDAQ:GOOGL) Google has brought its AI Gemini app to Samsung Electronics’ (OTCPK:SSNLF) new Galaxy Z series Fold and Flip phones.
In addition, the South Korean tech giant’s new Galaxy Watch7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra are the first Android smartwatches powered by Wear OS 5 by Google.
Samsung made the announcements at the Galaxy Unpacked event on Wednesday, touting the event as the next frontier of Galaxy AI.
Samsung said that the Gemini app is fully integrated on the new Galaxy Z series phones, acting as an AI-powered assistant. By swiping the corner of the screen or saying, “Hey Google,” a user can bring up Gemini’s overlay and get help with writing, learning, or planning.
Gemini is also integrated with several Google apps, such Google Maps.
The users can access Gemini overlay in the multi-window split screen to ask questions about music videos. They would need to long press the home button and circle, highlight, or tap on screen – and Circle to Search will offer instant search results.
Separately, Samsung said that Wear OS 5 is the most powerful release from Wear OS yet, and offers advanced performance and power efficiency. The new OS will ensure users can enjoy seamless and smooth interactions and use the Galaxy Watch for longer.
