- JD.com (NASDAQ:JD) is reportedly interested in acquiring UK parcel delivery company Evri, and has already submitted a non-binding offer, according to sources cited by Reuters.
- The two companies are already engaged in a partnership which integrates JD.com’s logistics and e-commerce business in China with Evri’s extensive European delivery network, providing European businesses an outlet to access JD.com’s Chinese consumers.
- Envi’s joint owners – Advent International with 75% and Otto Group with 25% — are working with advisors on strategic options, which includes a sale of the business, valued at around £2B.
- Other bidders include Polish parcel locker firm InPost, and Alibaba’s (BABA) logistics arm, Reuters said.
- After a five-day losing streak, shares of JD.com (JD) are in the green with a fractional gain on the day.
