June Kansas City Manufacturing Composite Index: -8 vs. -2 in May.
The slump was mainly driven by paper, plastics, machinery, and transportation equipment manufacturing. All M/M indexes were negative and fell from the previous month, except supplier delivery time and the price indexes.
Expectations for future activity, though, remained expansionary. Price growth for raw materials and finished products both cooled in June, the Kansas City Fed said.
