- Russia on Monday morning hit Ukraine with the biggest missile attack in months, killing at least 20 people and injuring dozens more, according to press reports that cited Ukrainian officials.
- The Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital in Kyiv was heavily damaged after a missile tore through a dialysis ward. Children were being moved to other hospitals as emergency workers looked for survivors in the damaged building.
- More than 40 missiles were launched at least five cities throughout Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said. The president posted photos of the damaged hospital on social media.
- The North Atlantic Treaty Organization summit is scheduled to begin on Tuesday in Washington. Ukraine will be a key topic at the meeting.
