UBTECH Opens World First Humanoid Robot Factory Producing One Every 10 Minutes

China just opened the world’s first factory that produces humanoid robots at scale. UBTECH’s new facility in Liuzhou can make over 10,000 industrial humanoid robots per year. That’s one robot every ten minutes.

And here’s the wild part. Robots build the robots. The factory uses humanoid robots and driverless vehicles throughout the production process. It’s robots making robots, supervised by humans but largely autonomous.

Why This Matters

Mass production changes everything. When humanoid robots cost millions each and take months to build, they’re experimental. When a factory can produce one every ten minutes, they become products. Real products that businesses can actually buy and deploy.

UBTECH’s Walker S and Cruzr series are the main products. The factory covers 14,000 square meters and stands nearly 14 meters tall. Every finished robot goes through over four hours of testing and passes through an automotive-grade inspection tunnel.

The facility also features what UBTECH calls the industry’s first fully automated three-dimensional warehouse. It holds 112 robots in 65 square meters, raising space utilization by over 50 percent.

This is what AI tools look like when they’re applied to manufacturing at scale.

What This Means for Business

Humanoid robots are about to get a lot cheaper and a lot more common. China’s industrial robot output rose 30 percent in July alone. The supply chain for robot components is maturing fast.

For businesses, the question isn’t whether humanoid robots will be available. They will be. The question is whether your business will be ready to use them when they become affordable. Start thinking about which tasks in your operation could benefit from robotic automation. Because the robots are coming, and they’re being mass produced right now.
